Wanting to learn the basic skills of drumming?. How to set the kit up? How to tune the drums? How to hold the sticks? Coordination Skills. Basic Drum Beats. Learning the Rudiments? Learn to play to music of your choice?
You can learn using an Acoustic Drum kit, or a Roland TD25kv Electric Drum kit with hundreds of different drum sounds. With no pressure to gain skills within a set time, you can learn at your own pace; attend sessions when you choose, whether that be once a week or once a month. The aim of these sessions is to have fun on the drums and once you are relaxed, the rhythm tends to come naturally. Beginner Drum lessons on Djembe also an option. I do not provide graded lessons, so the pressure to practice is off, however practicing a skill you enjoy can lead you places you may only have dreamed off. Dream Big!
I have been learning to play the drums for over 20 years. I am still learning and I think all musicians will say the same. There are always new skills to learn. I do not profess to be a professional drummer; I am offering to teach you the skills I have learned along the way. If you wish to be graded once you have learned the basic skills from myself, or wish to take up drumming as a profession - I can refer you to the right people to help.
